Job summary

The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation seeks a Director of Group Events to lead a team of event coordinators, drive exceptional guest experiences, and coordinate cross-functionally to ensure flawless execution of group events. You will partner with Sales, Catering, and Executive Leadership to optimize pricing, staffing, and delivery across large conventions and VIP occasions.

Ideal candidates bring 5–7 years in event management with leadership experience, CP M or similar certification

Qualifications

5–7 years in event management, hospitality, or group/convention services.
3–5 years leadership experience managing event teams or related staff.
CMP or similar certification preferred; bachelor’s degree required or preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a team of event coordinators to drive performance and engagement.
Oversee daily operations, staffing schedules, and business priorities for efficiency.
Collaborate with sales and catering teams to ensure proper execution of event details.
Provide strategic input on feasibility, staffing, logistics and service delivery for high-value events.
Act as primary contact for select top-tier clients during planning and execution phases.
Represent TRMF at industry events and networking opportunities; travel as needed.
