Job summary

Legatus seeks a Director of Events & Pilgrimages to lead our national events and pilgrimages, shaping mission-aligned experiences for members and partners. You will oversee strategy, operations, liturgy coordination, and sponsorship efforts, ensuring exceptional service and growth across domestic and international programs.

You will manage budgets, teams, and vendor relationships while collaborating with executives to deliver spiritually enriching experiences and strong member engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• CMP certification preferred.
• Minimum of five years in nonprofit or corporate event planning and management.
• Experience leading staff and managing multiple complex events.
• Experience negotiating contracts with venues, hotels, and vendors.
• Strong knowledge of event operations, hospitality, and registration management.
• Proficiency with event-management software and design tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for national events and pilgrimages.
• Oversee operations, including venue, registration, programming, and on-site execution.
• Direct liturgies and spiritual programming with clergy and partners.
• Manage budgets, sponsorships, and exhibitor strategy.
• Collaborate on marketing and member experience, and engage stakeholders.
• Lead and develop the Events & Pilgrimages team and communicate with executives.
