Job summary

Rayburn Electric Cooperative is establishing a centralized Asset Management function to optimize its generation portfolio. The Asset Manager, Generation Resources will lead this effort as the technical and commercial owner of Rayburn’s generation assets, ensuring safe, reliable, and economically optimized plant performance.

The role focuses on integrating plant engineering, performance monitoring, commercial asset management, and long-term asset strategy to maximize value and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of power generation engineering or asset management experience.
• Experience with combined cycle or gas turbine plants preferred.
• Experience with independent power producers/utilities preferred.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead Rayburn’s Asset Management function, developing processes, reporting structures and performance metrics.
• Monitor asset performance, coordinate with plant operators and commercial teams, and support long-term capital planning.
• Provide technical and commercial input for asset optimization, maintenance strategies and lifecycle management.
• Represent Rayburn in stakeholder discussions and coordinate with ERCOT on market and compliance matters.
