Hawaii State Federal Credit Union seeks an experienced Fraud Management Department Manager to lead fraud prevention, detection, and investigation efforts from its Downtown Honolulu headquarters.

The role focuses on mitigating fraud risks, educating staff on preventive measures, and coordinating with the Enterprise Risk Division to protect members and assets. Base salary ranges from $97,200 to $127,575 per year.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in fraud prevention, financial crimes, risk management, or related field.
  • 1+ year of managerial experience leading a team.
  • Strong understanding of financial institution operations and regulatory knowledge.
  • Experience in program development and management.

Responsibilities

  • Fraud Prevention & Control: design, implement and optimize fraud prevention strategies and controls.
  • Fraud Detection & Monitoring: monitor analytics and surveillance to identify suspicious activity and emerging schemes.
  • Fraud Investigation & Case Management: handle escalated fraud cases of high priority and complexity.
  • Operational Fraud Decisioning: decide on claims, account closures and actions to mitigate losses.
  • Fraud Operations Reporting: report fraud metrics to relevant units.
  • Develop and deliver fraud training & organizational awareness.
