Job summary

Hawaii State Federal Credit Union is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Professional to partner with Accounting, Finance, and business units to deliver clear, actionable reporting to senior leadership, ALCO, and the Board. Located at HSFCU Headquarters in Downtown Honolulu, you will lead cross‑functional initiatives and support external audits and regulatory examinations.

The base annual salary range is $86,800 - $113,925 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2 years in a financial institution.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Solid GAAP knowledge and regulatory reporting experience for financial institutions.
• Proficiency in financial reporting systems and GL reporting; validate outputs.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis tools (Power BI, SQL) experience.
• Experience applying accounting/regulatory changes.
• Experience supporting financial close and reporting cycle.
• Experience in audits including NCUA or regulatory examinations.
• Experience with financial calculations and ratios.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams.
• Experience writing operational procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate, timely financial reporting including GAAP statements and regulatory reporting.
• Interpret GAAP and regulatory requirements for proper reporting.
• Ensure integrity and completeness of financial information across systems.
• Collaborate with accounting, finance, and business units on complex transactions.
• Support external audits and regulatory examinations as primary contact.
• Develop and maintain financial reporting procedures.
