Job summary

Affirm, a remote-first company reinventing credit, seeks a Bank Head of FP&A to build the finance function during a pivotal growth phase. Reporting to the Bank CFO, you will establish forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling, and oversee capital stress testing.

You will lead a small, growing team, partner with cross-functional colleagues to align financial workflows, and translate analyses into executive-ready narratives for strategic decisions. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in analytical roles with impact on business outcomes.
• Minimum 5 years of people management experience.
• Strong ownership, ambiguity navigation and problem-solving.
• Business judgment linking analysis to strategic decisions.
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders across cross-functional teams.
• Financial modeling proficiency; familiarity with modeling tools and data visualization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Bank strategic finance team, providing direction, recruitment, and coaching.
• Own end-to-end forecasting and budgeting aligned with company goals during startup phase.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models for planning and forecasting.
• Oversee capital stress testing and ongoing monitoring; validate inputs with cross-functional teams.
• Monitor performance versus forecasts, diagnose variances, provide forward-looking insights.
