Job summary

Kimpton Monaco Baltimore is hiring a Director of Food and Beverage to lead F&B operations. This role oversees restaurant and room service, directs staffing to match business needs, and maintains sanitation and policy compliance.

The candidate will supervise, train and schedule staff, communicate across management, and help meet cost and profitability goals while delivering exceptional guest service.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Experience across food and beverage areas with emphasis on creativity and merchandising.
• Strong supervisory and management skills.
• Thorough knowledge of food preparation, purchasing, dining room service, banquet operations, cost control, basic accounting, scheduling, payroll, bartending, wine and alcohol merchandising and dispensing.
• TIPS or equivalent Certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage, administer, direct and control the operation of the restaurant and/or room service.
• Direct staffing aligned with business volume and needs.
• Maintain sanitation standards and ensure policy compliance.
• Supervise and train restaurant/room service staff.
• Schedule and direct direct-reports; ensure open management-employee communication.
• Provide disciplinary action when necessary and equip staff with needed tools.
