Job summary

Bedrock Energy is seeking an architect of the Field Operations function to own end-to-end delivery of geothermal construction projects, leading Operations Engineering, Field Operations, Reliability Engineering, and Deployment Operations. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years leading high-performance drilling or field operations teams.
• Track record of building playbooks and scalable organizations with little prior scaffolding.
• Deep technical depth to lead Operations Engineering and Reliability Engineering teams.
• Start-up mindset with strategic ownership across operations.
• Strong project management and problem-solving in changing environments.
• Excellent communication to explain jargon to non-technical stakeholders.
• Commitment to diversity and safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Design an organization that can scale while executing professional, air-tight construction operations across multiple sites.
• Design, test, and roll out robust processes for efficient communication and collaboration across a diverse and dispersed team.
• Own team recruiting, training, onboarding engine for fleet expansion while maintaining quality.
• Set and protect the execution quality bar; foster first-principles thinking within the team.
• Own adherence to safety programs, regulatory compliance, engineering guidance, and company policies.
• Lead the Operations Engineering team in drilling program design, project planning, issue resolution, and technical oversight.
• Lead the Reliability Engineering team in fleet asset ownership, maintenance, spare strategy, and capital planning.
• Partner with the tech team to test and deploy new digital, telemetry, and automation technologies.
• Oversee project P&Ls for drilling projects; drive operating rhythm for planning and execution.
• Oversee drilling crew performance, compliance with HSE, and professionalism.
• Commit to world-class safety culture and incident prevention.
• Oversee Deployment Operations for permitting, licenses, procurement, logistics, and reporting.
• Own project delivery feasibility across technical and operational factors for Commercial bidding/selection.
• Execute field delivery within architecture and readiness standards set by leadership.
• Collaborate with Product, Strategy, and Finance to improve project margins.
• Invest in new operational capabilities as Bedrock grows.
• Provide input on automation program scaling and field organization needs.
