GFL Environmental Services Inc. (GESI) is seeking a National Director, Environment & Compliance in the USA. You will lead regional managers to align environmental programs, oversee audits, and expand permit opportunities nationwide.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in hazardous waste industry.
• 7+ years in environmental/regulatory compliance.
• Degree in a related field (e.g., Chemical/Environmental).
• Proven leadership and strategic planning ability.
• Strong understanding of hazardous waste regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional managers with standardized regulatory tracking.
• Oversee internal environmental compliance audits and follow-up.
• Prioritize site environmental issues and projects.
• Build relations with environmental regulators and track trends.
• Expand permit applications to fill regulatory gaps.
• Enhance regulatory knowledge through training and sharing.
• Coordinate with operations for effective teamwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
