Job summary

OpenAI seeks a visionary Head of Enterprise Risk Management to build and lead a scalable ERM program and platform. You will establish governance, risk taxonomy, and decision processes, linking them to data products and workflows across the company.

You will own risk assessments, central risk registers, KPIs, and escalation thresholds while partnering with technical and business teams to automate evidence, monitoring, and AI-assisted risk analysis.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in enterprise or operational risk, compliance, or internal audit.
• Proven track record leading ERM or GRC programs in a fast-paced, tech-driven org.
• Strong ability to translate risk into scalable data-driven workflows and governance.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead an integrated ERM framework and risk register.
• Develop KRIs, risk appetite, and executive dashboards for leadership.
• Coordinate risk activities across finance, security, legal, compliance, and engineering.
• Build and coach a high-performing risk team and drive continuous improvement.
