Job summary

Allstate is seeking a highly technical Lead Engineering, Authentication Engineering (Senior Manager) to head the design, implementation, and evolution of enterprise authentication platforms. You will lead multiple engineering managers, guiding secure, scalable MFA, PKI, SSO, and vaulting initiatives while driving automation and IaC across cloud and on-prem environments.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of IT or Engineering experience with authentication engineering accountabilities.
• 3+ years management experience.
• Experience leading enterprise large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Authentication Lead Product Manager for strategy and roadmaps.
• Lead strategy, architecture, and engineering of enterprise authentication solutions.
• Design, implement, and modernize authentication solutions (MFA, PKI, SSO, privileged access management, vaulting).
• Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code with test-driven development practices.
• Lead large-scale authentication migrations and technology transformations.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, cloud, applications, and AI teams to deliver scalable authentication services.
• Provide technical leadership and people development for engineering teams.
• Influence clients and partners to adopt secure authentication patterns and reference architectures.
• Strengthen security posture by implementing controls identified via audits and testing.
• Own reliability and operational excellence of authentication services with SLOs and observability.
