Job summary

Amgen seeks a Senior Director of AI Solution Architecture to define and drive the company’s AI strategy across R&D, operations, and commercial functions. You will lead a team to translate complex business needs into scalable AI products and platforms, ensuring governance, data readiness, and measurable ROI.

The role requires deep AI expertise, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering enterprise-wide AI solutions that impact growth and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Doctorate/Masters/Bachelors in AI/ML/DS/CS/Engineering or related field required/preferred.
• 4+ years of direct managerial experience, including managing managers or senior technical leaders.
• MBA or equivalent business education strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead Amgen's enterprise AI solution architecture strategy.
• Co-create high-impact AI solutions with cross-functional stakeholders across R&D, Operations, Commercial, and corporate functions.
• Develop solution blueprints connecting business objectives, user needs, AI/ML methods, data assets, and governance.
• Assess feasibility, value potential, implementation complexity, data readiness, and adoption pathways for proposed AI initiatives.
• Partner with AI engineering, data engineering, platform, architecture, product, security, privacy, legal, and compliance teams to ensure scalable, secure, and production-ready solutions.
• Establish reusable standards and frameworks for AI solution intake, prioritization, and delivery readiness.
