Job summary

HP in Austin, TX seeks a Director of Enterprise AI Governance to provide strategic leadership for a team of managers and senior contributors, aligning engineering solutions with business goals and roadmaps. You will optimize value, quality, and productivity, overseeing budgets and resources.

You will drive AI digital strategy, governance cadence, and funding guardrails while coordinating across federated teams, partners, and delivery groups.

Qualifications

• Progressive AI leadership with governance experience.
• Experience with SaaS/cloud platforms, FinOps, budgeting, and chargeback.
• Knowledge of security, privacy, and responsible AI practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI Digital strategy, portfolio prioritization, governance cadence, funding guardrails, executive reporting, and coordination across federated teams.
• Own GitHub Copilot caps, credits, user tier organizations, model and feature controls, access, alerts, exceptions, and automation; administer licensing and cost controls.
• Establish L1 ownership, cost center mapping, chargeback, allocation rules, budget thresholds, and usage reporting across AI products.
• Operate the Nerve Center for use case submission, qualification, security/privacy review, stage gates, prioritization, funding, delivery handoff, risk escalation, and benefits realization.
• Manage partnerships with Microsoft, OpenAI, GitHub, AWS, ServiceNow, Deloitte, and others; coordinate AI SDLC, hacks, pilots, and adoption programs.
• Build monthly dashboards covering adoption, spend, capacity, risk, delivery status, and realized value.
