Job summary

Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) seeks a Director of Enterprise Data & AI Platforms to lead enterprise AI and data platforms. You will own technology strategy, supervise AI system architecture, and drive MLOps/LLMOps within a cloud-first framework across MassDOT.

The role requires 10+ years in IT/AI leadership, cross-functional team management, and governance across data and AI initiatives. Hybrid work with on-site 3 days/week at 10 Park Plaza, Boston.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT/AI leadership experience with large-scale transformation.
• Proven senior leadership managing cross-functional data and AI teams.
• Experience managing enterprise tech portfolios and establishing metrics.
• Knowledge of MLOps/LLMOps and production AI lifecycle.
• Experience with AWS, Snowflake, and SaaS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Owns technology strategy, architecture, and delivery of enterprise AI/data platforms.
• Lead architecture, design, and delivery of scalable AI systems including GenAI and RAG.
• Establish MLOps/LLMOps and model lifecycle management.
• Drive cloud-first platform strategy and governance for enterprise AI.
• Ensure data pipelines, governance, privacy, and security across platforms.
