Job summary

Credit Union of Southern California is seeking an AVP, Enterprise AI & Automation to establish and lead the organization’s AI and automation function. You will drive strategic direction, partner with IT and business units, and ensure responsible AI adoption across the credit union.

The role reports to the CTO, focuses on measurable efficiency gains, governance, and a strong emphasis on risk and compliance in a regulated industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in technology leadership, digital transformation, automation or advanced analytics roles.
• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise initiatives involving AI, generative AI, RPA, or intelligent automation.
• Experience in regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, or public sector.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the Enterprise AI & Automation function with operating model and delivery standards.
• Develop and maintain the enterprise AI/automation roadmap aligned with strategy and architecture.
• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize AI, generative AI, and RPA use cases delivering measurable impact.
• Redesign processes and implement intelligent automation with continuous improvement principles.
• Lead adoption of AI platforms like Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT to improve productivity.
• Ensure governance, risk management, and regulatory alignment for AI initiatives.
