Job summary

Banc of California seeks a senior leader to define and drive the bank’s AI strategy and enterprise portfolio. The role centers on translating business priorities into a governed AI program, balancing vendor and in-house development, and delivering measurable value in a regulated financial environment.

You will build the AI engineering bench, establish enterprise standards, and partner with Risk, Compliance, IT, and business units to ensure safe, scalable AI adoption while guiding change

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in technology, data, analytics, AI/ML, or digital transformation.
• Experience leading technical teams and enterprise-scale initiatives.
• Track record taking AI initiatives from concept to production in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead Banc of California's enterprise AI strategy and roadmap.
• Build and lead AI engineering capability across business units.
• Establish AI governance, risk, and controls for scalable adoption.
• Drive AI education, adoption, and workforce enablement bank-wide.
• Partner with HR, data owners, and risk functions to ensure responsible AI.”
