Job summary

Big Watt Digital LLC is seeking an accomplished engineering leader to build and scale the engineering organization in the United States. You will define talent strategy, standards, and training to support development, execution, and operations across multiple disciplines.

You will own project engineering elements, develop KPIs, manage budgets, and ensure safety and quality as you lead cross-functional teams through complex initiatives.

Qualifications

• We are looking for a true Engineer with Masters or PhD in Engineering.
• Strong background in engineering with 10+ years managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
• 15+ years in power industry.
• Process and systems oriented.
• Strong dedication to safety and diligence within a power environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage stakeholders across the business.

Responsibilities

• Build and develop the engineering organization, including talent strategy, succession planning, and technical training.
• Develop and implement technical standards and procedures to run an efficient engineering operation that can effectively support development, execution, and operations groups.
• Develop KPI for the engineering efforts and team and monitor progress against established KPI on a monthly basis.
• Lead lean multi-disciplinary engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, civil/structural, I&C, grid interconnection) supporting all engineering and technical needs of the Company.
• Develop the engineering budget and allocate resources across the project portfolio based on priorities.
• Own and develop the engineering elements of projects and collaborate with Project Manager/Director/Executive, Procurement, Construction, Startup, Project Controls, and ES&H teams.
• Develop procedures to review engineering design documents, specifications, material requisitions, and change orders; oversee bid analyses and vendor recommendations.
