Management Performance Associates is recruiting on behalf of our client, a manufacturer of temperature sensors, compression seal fittings, and cable and harness assemblies, for a Senior Engineering Manager role in Buffalo, NY. You will lead product design engineering, guide technical decisions, review detailed designs, and mentor engineers while ensuring on-time delivery and high product quality.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Progressive product design engineering experience with complex decisions.
• Engineering leadership experience managing people and multiple projects.
• Strong command of mechanical design, CAD, GD&T, tolerances, verification methods.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and develop the engineering team, set priorities, allocate resources, and manage project commitments.
• Provide hands-on technical direction for product architecture, mechanical design, materials selection, tolerances, and design verification.
• Lead design reviews and resolve technical risks before release.
• Translate customer requirements into clear engineering specifications and validation plans.
• Oversee drawings, Bills of Materials, design calculations, changes, and controlled release.
• Collaborate with sales and customers on technical feasibility and proposals.
• Work with manufacturing and quality to improve manufacturability and support new product introduction.
• Coach engineers and establish clear technical standards and project management practices.
