Job summary

Order.co in New York City seeks a Director, Engineering Operations to build the operating system translating strategy into measurable outcomes. You will align Product, Engineering, Data, and Finance, driving clarity on priorities, capacity, and delivery health across the organization.

You will own executive communications, define KPIs, and lead portfolio planning, SDLC improvements, and cross‑functional risk management to ensure customer impact and business value.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in Engineering Operations, Product Operations, or a comparable SaaS role.
• Exceptional executive communication and ability to connect work to customer impact.
• Experience defining outcomes, OKRs, KPIs, and portfolio planning.
• Knowledge of modern product development and software delivery lifecycles.
• Experience with headcount planning and capacity management with Finance.

Responsibilities

• Create an executive-ready narrative linking investments to outcomes and delivery health.
• Own executive updates, company communications, and board inputs with a truth source.
• Surface changes, trade-offs, risks, and decisions with concise context and recommendations.
• Translate strategy into measurable outcomes, KPIs, baselines, and review cadences.
• Design and operate portfolio-planning cadences across Product and Engineering.
• Define a lightweight SDLC and operating reviews focused on outcomes and risk.
• Establish cross-functional risk tracking and structured decision management.
