Job summary

AVT Simulation seeks a Vice President of Engineering to lead its enterprise engineering organization in Orlando. You will drive disciplined execution across hardware, software, and systems engineering, set common standards, and elevate governance and performance metrics to meet customer commitments.

You will mentor senior engineering leaders, oversee the Centralized Design Authority, and ensure ITAR, TCP, and cybersecurity controls are in place as AVT scales manufacturing across product lines.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive engineering experience in aerospace/defense or equivalent.
• 5+ years of leadership overseeing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Proven ability to set engineering standards, governance, and metrics across programs.
• Experience moving products from development to repeatable manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with AS9100/ISO/CMMI and stage-gate processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise engineering across hardware, software, systems, integration, and test.
• Establish common standards, operating cadence, governance, and performance expectations.
• Mentor Engineering Directors to ensure enterprise-wide technical governance.
• Drive design authority, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Oversee design controls, configuration management, and lifecycle processes.
• Ensure compliance with ITAR, TCP, and cybersecurity requirements.
