Job summary

AV seeks a Chief Engineer, Systems to act as a technical liaison among Engineering, Program Management, Operations, and Supply Chain to optimize solutions, ensure feasibility, cost and schedule alignment, and lead a portfolio of engineering projects within the design and development team led by the Director of Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM field required.
• 15 years engineering design or development experience.
• 3 years project management experience; PMP/CAPM a plus.
• Experience integrating new capabilities onto platforms; flow-down of requirements.
• Experience planning projects: schedule, budget, resources.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer requirements and identify platform impacts, cost, schedule, and risks.
• Develop new product requirements with PMs and customers.
• Review proposals, specifications, and ICDs.
• Define system requirements and generate product/sub-system specifications.
• Contribute to proposal designs, cost estimates, and resource planning.
• Ensure integration meets performance, schedule, budget and cost targets.
• Mentor engineers and resolve technical issues.
