Job summary

The Judge Group seeks a Head of Engineering to lead a critical product domain within our supply chain platform for perishable goods. You will define technical strategy, architecture, and delivery while mentoring a lean engineering team across onshore and offshore partners.

Reporting to the CTO, you will steward AI-enabled workflows, drive high-impact design decisions, and ensure reliable, scalable systems that meet real-world traceability and compliance needs.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience across product domains.
• Strong leadership experience managing senior engineers and technical teams.
• Proven ability to own delivery and outcomes for a production software product or platform.
• Solid system design and architecture expertise with the ability to review and evaluate implementations.
• Experience leading distributed engineering organizations across onshore and offshore teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction, architecture, delivery, quality, and operational performance of a product domain.
• Guide architectural decisions balancing scalability, reliability, maintainability and business needs.
• Provide technical guidance during design reviews, incidents, and high-impact initiatives.
• Establish engineering standards, practices, and quality expectations across the domain.
• Lead and develop a lean, senior engineering organization with engineers at various levels.
• Drive AI-enabled engineering workflows and ensure human oversight and accountability in the SDLC.
• Collaborate with Product, TPM, Security, and Operations to align roadmaps and priorities.
