Job summary

Ally Financial in New York is seeking a senior portfolio manager to lead amendments, waivers, and loan modifications for a Power/Energy Infrastructure portfolio. You will coordinate with clients, syndicate banks, and Ally Risk post-closing, balancing borrower needs with risk policies.

The role requires 9+ years in energy/project finance, strong relationship management, and expert MS Office/financial modeling skills. On-site in NYC with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of portfolio management or underwriting experience in energy/project finance.
• Strong knowledge of renewable and conventional power, data centers and related infrastructure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Proven success in relationship management.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Advanced MS Office and financial modeling knowledge.
• Ability to work independently with strong time management.
• Credit training or similar program completion preferred.

Responsibilities

• Know the client and maintain professional relationships with appropriate contacts.
• Assist with loan setup, closing, and act as administrative agent for lead deals.
• Execute post-close requirements of the credit agreement.
• Minimize risk.
• Execute governance responsibilities.
• Prepare underwriting memorandums for portfolio loan modifications.
• Mentor and train less experienced team members.
• Support a strong credit culture.
