Job summary

Fauna Robotics, an Amazon company, seeks an Embedded and Electrical Engineering Manager to lead electrical hardware, embedded firmware, and compute subsystems from architecture through manufacturing. You will own the hardware development program, drive safety architecture, and coordinate across mechanical, software, and science teams to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electronic or Computer Engineering.
10+ years in electrical or embedded systems with 3+ years leading teams.
Experience leading full product development of electromechanical systems.
Proven BOM cost-down and PCBA optimization.
Experience with manufacturing scale-up and global sites.
Experience managing PCB fabricators, contract manufacturers, suppliers, and labs.
Ability to participate in architecture and design reviews.

Responsibilities

Lead hardware, embedded software, test engineering, and technician teams.
Own hardware development program plan and master schedule.
Recruit and retain top engineering talent with inclusive hiring.
Define electronics roadmap with architects and translate to priorities.
Align software investments with program milestones.
Drive safety architecture delivery and review gates.
Coordinate embedded software architecture decisions with cross-functional teams.
Manage contract manufacturers and production readiness.
Oversee reliability and environmental testing.
Serve as integration point across mechanical, software, science teams.
Manage vendor relationships for PCBs, wiring, batteries, charging electronics.
