Job summary

SSOE seeks an Electrical Engineering Department Manager to lead a team supporting complex tool install work for semiconductor fabrication and advanced manufacturing facilities.

You will guide strategy from planning through startup, ensuring code-compliant, constructible designs for tool power, grounding, and facility modifications, with strong QA/QC oversight.

This role emphasizes mentoring staff, business development, and strengthening client relationships.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s in electrical engineering and significant technical leadership experience.
• Proven ability to design for tool install, distribution, grounding, and facility integration.
• Strong skills in coordinating multi-discipline design teams and reviews.
• Experience mentoring engineers and developing staff performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the electrical engineering department and staff.
• Oversee electrical design execution for tool install and facility modifications.
• Develop and review electrical calculations, load analyses, and coordination studies.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, structural, controls, and architecture teams.
• Establish and enforce QA/QC processes and design reviews.
• Assist with proposals, staffing plans, and client communications.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable electrical codes and safety standards.
