JW Michaels & Co. seeks a seasoned Head of Equity Capital Markets for its New York City offices.

The candidate should have 10–15+ years in ECM, equity-linked or converts origination, with a strong track record engaging with corporates and banks. The role involves leading the firm’s ECM initiatives, developing deep relationships with corporate issuers, ECM bankers, CFOs and syndicate desks, and working closely with the CIO, PMs, partners and investors to scale the business and deploy capital

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years in ECM, equity-linked or converts origination, sell-side or buy-side with emphasis on corporates & converts.
• Deep relationships with corporate issuers, ECM bankers, CFOs and syndicate desks.
• Hands-on experience with corporate credit & convertible bonds, preferred, warrants, IPOs, follow-ons, PIPEs & private placements, ABBs & block trades.

Our client is a US-based Hedge Fund with a 15+ year track-record and ~$10Bil AUM. They're looking to secure a Head of Equity Capital Markets. This hire will work out of their NYC offices and have a strong track-record working with 10+ years experience in ECM.

Our Client's strategies focus on Corporates, Converts & Structured Credit across the Capital stack. They're at an inflection point of dynamic growth and this hire will work with Corporates & Counterparties to kick-start the Fund's presence & participation within ECM deploying capital strategically. This is a unique opportunity for the proven professionals to to scale the business and interact closely with the CIO, PMs, Partners and the Fund's Investors to build out their presence in the marketplace.

What they're looking for:

• 10–15+ years in ECM, equity-linked or converts origination, sell-side or buy-side with an emphasis of working with Corporates & Converts
• Deep relationships with Corporate Issuers, ECM Bankers, CFOs and Syndicate desks
• Hands-on experience working with Corporate Credit & Convertible Bonds, Preferred, Warrants, IPOs, Follow-ons, PIPEs & Private Placements, ABBs & Block Traders, Block trades, Rights & Dividends; Syndication & Underwriting
• High EQ and motivated individual to kick-start this position Someone who can think like an investor, not just a banker: pricing risk, protecting downside, and getting deals done
• Bachelors+ from a top-ranked University--advanced & STEM degrees preferred
