Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin seeks a Senior Director of Donor Relations and Engagement to lead strategic donor engagement programs and partnerships across campus, regional and international settings. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will guide engagement strategy, governance for boards and societies, and a high-performing team to strengthen giving and stewardship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in donor relations, stewardship, advancement, or nonprofit fundraising.
• Demonstrated success managing major/principal-level donors and stewardship programs.
• Strong writing skills, including executive-level correspondence.
• Experience using CRM/donor databases to analyze data and inform strategy.
• Excellent relationship management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives, meet deadlines and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Executive Director to establish long-range plans, performance measures and resource allocation.
• Represent Donor Relations in cross-functional work groups and external initiatives.
• Provide executive oversight for the Development Board, presidential boards, and donor groups.
• Develop governance, membership and succession strategies for volunteer leadership.
• Lead and mentor the Engagement team and staff for high performance.
• Oversee donor programs, events and constituent experiences across campus-based, regional and international programs.
• Develop dashboards and reporting to assess program effectiveness and stewardship outcomes.
