Job summary

A.P. Moller - Maersk in Los Angeles seeks an experienced Operations Leader to direct the end-to-end distribution facility, focusing on quality, safety, and efficiency. You will drive KPI performance, oversee labor and equipment, and ensure reliable service to customers.

The role requires substantial experience in transportation and warehousing operations, familiarity with WMS/TMS/YMS systems, and a proven ability to manage P&L and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience leading distribution and transportation operations in a fast-paced setting.
• Familiarity with 3PL environments and multiple customers or lines of business.
• Experience with warehouse and transportation management systems (WMS/TMS/YMS).

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees operational functions of a distribution facility to ensure quality, productivity, safety, and KPI performance.
• Manage labor, equipment, and facility costs to reach goals and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with port management and drayage services for smooth freight flows.
• Perform financial analysis and manage the facility P&L; monitor operating reports and control costs.
• Lead training and ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies.
