Job summary

Performance Team in Los Angeles seeks an experienced Distribution and Operations leader to oversee a busy warehouse and transportation network. You will drive KPI performance, manage a large team including temporary staff, and ensure high standards of safety and customer service.

The role emphasizes optimizing shipping/receiving, inventory and drayage coordination, with Lean process improvements and strong cross-functional collaboration with port partners to ensure on-time delivery and cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 7–15 years in fast-paced transportation and warehousing.
• Experience managing transportation and warehousing operations.
• Experience in a 3PL environment supporting multiple customers.
• Experience with drayage drivers and services.
• Experience negotiating for new or increased customer contracts.
• Experience implementing and managing KPIs and holding teams accountable.
• Solid financial, analytical, and P&L experience.
• Familiarity with Lean techniques and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains operations plans, labor hours, equipment costs to reach goals.
• Ensures procedures are followed for shipments, inventory current and accounted for.
• Reviews reports and resolves operational issues to minimize costs.
• Manages facility P&L and financial analysis.
• Coordinates with port management for drayage services.
• Interfaces with customers and internal teams for reporting.
• Mentors and evaluates staff and conducts performance reviews.

Education

Bachelor's Degree and 7–15 years’ experience in transportation and warehousing

Experience managing transportation and warehousing operations

Experience in a 3PL environment

Experience with drayage and contracts negotiations

Lean and continuous improvement exposure
