Job summary

Merck in the United States is seeking a Director, Digital Tech Transfer & Knowledge Management to shape the strategy for digital tech transfer and PKM. You will define the roadmap, lead a multidisciplinary team, and deliver integrated digital solutions across the tech transfer lifecycle in a highly regulated biopharma setting.

You will partner with S&T, Research, Commercialization, Manufacturing, and IT to align business goals with data-driven execution, ensuring data integrity and compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or related field with 10+ years industry experience.
• Proven track record in pharmaceutical technology transfer and site readiness.
• Experience delivering large-scale, data-intensive digital products in a product/leadership role.
• Strong leadership with cross-functional team development and stakeholder management.
• Excellent communication skills to influence senior leaders and technical experts.
• Deep knowledge of biopharma manufacturing processes and related data/control systems.

Responsibilities

• Define product vision and strategic roadmap for Digital Tech Transfer and PKM.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of analysts, technology and process specialists.
• Oversee lifecycle of digital manufacturing products supporting tech transfer from concept to deployment.
• Serve as liaison between S&T, Research, Commercialization, manufacturing, and IT.
• Drive data integration across MES, LIMS, and control systems for unified PKM.
• Champion data integrity and governance for reliable, inspection-ready data.
• Manage product backlog, prioritize features by business value, report to executives.
• Ensure digital solutions meet GxP and internal quality standards.
• Partner with CMOs to digitise tech transfer and secure data exchanges.
