Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to spearhead the Developer Tools and Software Catalog ecosystem, guiding automation, governance, and scalable software delivery.

You will partner with Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, Architecture, and Product teams to drive developer experience (DX) across the enterprise. Responsibilities include defining tooling standards, onboarding, Day 2 operations, and platform migrations, with a focus on automation, self-service capabilities, and cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2+ years of technical leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy, governance, and lifecycle management of the enterprise developer tooling ecosystem.
• Partner with Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, Architecture, and Product teams to drive Developer Experience (DX).
• Define tooling standards, governance, and support models.
• Own Developer Experience (DevEx) including onboarding, Day 2 operations, self-service tooling, and productivity initiatives.
• Oversee tool lifecycle management (onboarding, upgrades, licensing, renewals, adoption, retirement).
• Drive modernization and automation, self-service, and developer productivity initiatives.
• Lead platform migrations and evaluate emerging technologies (AI-assisted tools).
• Monitor metrics, adoption trends, risk remediation, and cost optimization.
