Job summary

The Paley Center for Media seeks a Vice President, Development to lead fundraising for its museum, programs, festivals, exhibits, education work, and archive.

Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the VP Development owns a minimum $12 million annual goal and will shape a comprehensive fundraising strategy, grow donor bases, and mentor a high‑performing team across New York and Los Angeles.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in fundraising with a track record of raising at least $10 million annually
• Deep knowledge of the New York and Los Angeles fundraising communities and key donors
• Experience with proposal development, stewardship, and major gifts pipelines
• Strong leadership and ability to manage cross-functional teams
• Experience using data analytics and AI-powered tools to drive fundraising growth

Responsibilities

• Lead fundraising strategy for NYC and LA to meet revenue targets
• Grow donor bases across individuals, foundations, corporations, and government partners
• Oversee galas, sponsorships, grants, and major gifts programs
• Build and mentor a high-performing development team
• Implement systems, reporting, and analytics to support growth
