The AFRICAN AMERICAN MUSEUM IN PHILA is looking for a Vice President of Development to lead its fundraising efforts. This role reports directly to the President & CEO and is responsible for the museum’s comprehensive development program, aiming to cultivate transformational gifts and ensure the success of capital campaigns.

The ideal candidate will possess at least eight years of fundraising experience, exceptional communication skills, and strong leadership abilities. The position offers a competitive salary and benefits, including flexible work options.

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight years of comprehensive fundraising experience including major gifts and campaigns.
• Strong collaborative leadership skills with a desire to engage and problem solve.
• Existing knowledge of the Philadelphia philanthropic landscape is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist the President and CEO in developing and implementing the museum's strategic vision.
• Manage museum departments including Development and Guest Services.
• Cultivate and manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects.
