The Hochstein School in Rochester, NY seeks a Director of Development (Full-time, exempt) to lead strategy, design, and management of fundraising across individuals, foundations, government, and corporations. Identification, cultivation, solicitation, and building donor relations are central to the role.

The Director will report to the President & Executive Director, supervise two staff, and collaborate with board and contractors to maximize contributed resources and ensure sound financial

Qualificações

• Five+ years of non-profit or higher education fundraising experience.
• Proven track record securing major gifts, grants, and sponsorships.
• Strong knowledge of donor communities and funding sources.
• Excellent writing, editing, and verbal presentation skills.
• Organized, communicative manager with strategic thinking.

Responsabilidades

• Manage all development activities aligned with Hochstein’s mission and plans.
• Develop fundraising strategies across major gifts, annual giving, and foundations.
• Plan and execute events, including the annual Gala.
• Supervise Development staff and interns.
• Oversee donor records, gift processing, and acknowledgments.
• Prepare budgets and progress reports for leadership.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Finance to support campaigns.
