Job summary

Harvey is building AI-native software for professional services, seeking a Director of Detection and Response to lead a team that identifies threats and responds decisively to incidents. You will own the strategy, technical direction, and operational readiness across the production platform and corporate environment.

You'll collaborate with the CISO and leaders across Engineering, IT, Legal, Privacy, and Customer Trust, translating business risk into a focused program protecting customer data

Qualifications

• Experience building and leading Detection and Response or security engineering teams.
• Strong incident response experience with executives and partners.
• Cloud, OS, networking, identity with depth in detection or threat hunting.
• Engineering approach to security operations and detection platforms.

Responsibilities

• Hire, develop, and lead detection engineers and incident responders; own roadmap and staffing.
• Own incident response and crisis readiness; 24/7 coverage; playbooks.
• Define telemetry and detection pipelines; apply software practices; automate.
• Prioritize meaningful threats using threat intel and attacker perspective.
• Partner with cross-functional teams for investigations and decisions.
• Drive blameless reviews and measure coverage and time to detect.
