Job summary

Profound is hiring a Head of Design to lead and grow the design team, shape the vision for an AI-native product, and ensure everything shipped meets a high bar. You will report to the CTO and work closely with founders to own the product experience.

You will set long-term design direction, influence product decisions, and scale design systems while staying hands-on with craft and prototyping, all in a fast-moving, high-growth environment in NYC.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in design at a high-growth tech company.
• Strong portfolio with shipped, high-quality products.
• Experience mentoring and growing design teams.
• Ability to influence product strategy and cross-functional partners.
• Experience designing B2B analytics or complex workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set the design vision and long-term direction for Profound’s product experience.
• Shape product strategy in collaboration with founders and leadership.
• Lead and grow the design team with high standards and ownership.
• Stay hands-on with craft, design reviews, and rapid prototyping.
• Define AI-native experiences that combine data, agents, and human judgment.
• Build scalable design systems and processes to support fast iteration.
• Keep close to customers through research and data to solve real problems.
