Job summary

Coval is seeking a Head of Deployments to build and lead the team that owns every account after signature. You'll set the strategy and vision for how Coval takes customers from contract to production to expansion, and you'll manage the Forward Deployed Engineers and Deployment Strategists who execute it.

You'll be technical enough to know what's happening inside a deployment and commercial enough to drive retention and ROI.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in B2B SaaS across customer success, account management, or technical account management with retention/expansion ownership.
• 2+ years managing a team including technical and commercial roles.
• Experience building or scaling a post-sale function with playbooks and cadence.
• Technical credibility with APIs, developer tools, and AI/ML or infra software.
• Ability to align stakeholders with evidence-driven decisions.
• Product instincts to distinguish useful gaps from one-off asks.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity at an early-stage company.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategy and vision for Deployments and define success metrics.
• Turn one-off saves into a repeatable playbook with onboarding, planning, and cadence.
• Structure the team and define partnerships with Sales, Product, and Engineering.
• Own adoption, retention, and expansion with defendable forecasts.
• Partner with Sales on handoffs with clear success criteria and use cases.
• Directly own key large accounts day-to-day including scope and pricing talks.
• Hire, onboard, coach, and manage FDEs and Deployment Strategists.
• Provide direct feedback and grow people to larger scopes.
• Maintain technical credibility: diagnose deployments and test strategies.
• Feedback loop to Product/Engineering to inform roadmaps.
