Job summary

The West Virginia Department of Tourism is seeking a Director of Data Systems and Web Development to lead data management, privacy, and digital platform strategy. You will oversee critical systems and help shape the agency's online presence.

Responsibilities include designing and maintaining web applications, building reports, and coordinating with internal staff and external partners. Requirements include a BA in relevant fields and 3 years of analytical experience; a Master’s can substitute

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Design and Development / Interactive Media or a related analytical/design field.
• Three years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in research, statistical, or other analysis in the area of assignment or a related area.
• Master's degree may substitute for the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Department's Privacy Officer; attend meetings; address issues; receive insight reports.
• Serve as the Department's Google Drive Administrator and Content Manager; manage permissions and access to documents.
• Oversee the Department's systems (Preservica, ArchivesSpace, HubSpot, Bynder, AssetTiger).
• Research and advise on CRMs, software, and databases.
• Design, build, and maintain websites and web applications.
• Create and test websites and web applications.
• Build reports and create process workflows; analyze data.
