Job summary

CenterWell's Director of Data Science (AI/ML) leads a technical team to develop and validate AI/ML models across healthcare applications, working with Product, IT, Enterprise AI, and data governance to translate priorities into production-ready solutions that improve patient care and operational efficiency.

The role requires 8+ years in data science, 5+ years of management, and strong leadership in ML, MLOps, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of data science experience with production ML models.
• 5+ years of management and cross-functional leadership.
• Experience translating requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience with MLOps including model versioning and monitoring.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Willing to work Eastern Time Zone hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI/ML model development and validation for business and company-wide applications.
• Maintain deep technical expertise and judicious method selection for healthcare contexts.
• Promote rapid prototyping to validate feasibility and performance.
• Define technical vision and roadmap for the data science team.
• Develop a high-performing data science team and reusable frameworks.
