Job summary

Vibrant Emotional Health seeks a Senior Director of Data Science & Machine Learning to lead the data science, ML, and AI function. Reporting to the AVP, Data, you will establish and guide capabilities for 988 Lifeline, H2H, Community Programs, and enterprise initiatives.

You will set strategy, govern models, and direct teams to deliver responsible AI, with HIPAA-related data compliance and cross-functional collaboration across engineering, analytics, and program leadership.

Qualifications

• Executive-level expertise in statistical modeling, ML, NLP, and AI.
• End-to-end ML lifecycle management from development to deployment.
• Experience leading data science teams in large organizations.
• Strong standards, governance, and scientific rigor across initiatives.
• Experience with HIPAA or sensitive data environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute multi-year data science strategy and AI roadmap.
• Lead and grow data science and ML teams with mentorship.
• Translate priorities into applied research with measurable outcomes.
• Advise on AI technologies and buy/build decisions.
• Oversee NLP/ML models for crisis services with governance.
