Job summary

Capital District Physicians Health Plan Inc is seeking a Manager of Data Platform Administration to lead the Data Platform Administration team in planning, design, development, and maintenance of data systems and applications. You will communicate with users to understand plans, operations, problems, and opportunities, and drive standards for use, control, performance, updating and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Advanced expertise in database design, development, testing and maintenance for production ready systems.
• Advanced expertise in structured systems analysis and design, user relations, data gathering techniques, and MIS.
• Experience supervising or managing people and/or projects or indirectly leading teams.
• Demonstrated analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities.
• Expertise in project planning and project management.
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and controls systems lifecycle activities across analysis, design, development and installation.
• Reviews service requests and clarifies intent with sponsors, requesters, and user reps.
• Estimates staffing, costs and time; uses PM tools to track progress and ensure schedules.
• Reviews major deliverables and ensures walk-throughs with users.
• Liaises with data center management for issue resolution and efficient resource use.
• Assists in developing corporate information systems model and development sequencing.
• Advises subordinates on policies, priorities and methods.
• Interviews, selects, trains and mentors Data Platform Administration staff.
• Manages resources within budget and corporate guidelines.
• Upholds integrity and privacy policies; aligns with mission and values.
• Maintains knowledge of regulatory mandates and ensures compliance.
• Conducts periodic staff meetings and disseminates compliance information.
• Maintains regular attendance; performs other duties as assigned.
