Job summary

Capital District Physicians Health Plan, Inc. seeks a Manager of Data Platform Administration to lead the Data Platform Administration team in planning, design, development, and maintenance of data systems and applications.

You will partner with users to understand plans, operations, problems and opportunities, and champion standards for use, performance, and maintenance. You will review in-progress and completed work for quality and adherence to standards, mentor team members, and manage

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years related work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or relevant field.
• In lieu of a degree, six (6) years of experience required.
• Advanced expertise in database design, development, testing and maintenance for production ready systems.
• Advanced expertise in structured systems analysis and design, user relations, data gathering techniques, and management information systems.
• Prior experience supervising or managing people and/or projects or indirectly leading teams.
• Demonstrated analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities.
• Expertise in project planning and project management.
• Ability to effectively communication, across all levels within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and control the activities of the analysis, design, development, and installation phases of the systems lifecycle.
• Consult with sponsors and users to clarify intent and evaluate alternative solutions.
• Estimate staffing requirements, costs and time for project activities and assign resources; track progress.
• Review major deliverables and ensure walkthroughs with users.
• Coordinate with data center management on resource utilization and costs.
• Assist in developing corporate information systems model and development sequencing.
• Mentor Data Platform Administration professionals.
• Maintain compliance with privacy and regulatory mandates.
