Job summary

S&P Global is seeking a Director of Software Engineering to partner with global platform, architecture, governance, security, data mastering, and Databricks-aligned teams to deliver enterprise data platforms.

You will plan and execute the transition of existing data pipelines to the target enterprise data platform, implement repeatable ingestion, transformation, testing, deployment, and monitoring across onboarded datasets, and drive engineering excellence with AI-assisted tooling.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data engineering or related fields.
• Experience as a senior IC or technical lead in data platforms.
• Experience with Databricks and lakehouse architectures.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute data pipeline transitions to the enterprise data platform.
• Lead AI-assisted engineering adoption to boost velocity and quality.
• Guide offshore teams on onboarding patterns for diverse data assets.
• Influence architecture and participate in design/code reviews for complex projects.
