Job summary

CoreWeave is seeking a senior Data Center Security Engineering leader to guide a team responsible for access control, video surveillance, alarm systems, and related security infrastructure across global data centers. You will drive lifecycle planning, research security technologies, and oversee commissioning standards to ensure reliability and compliance.

The role requires deep Genetec knowledge, strong IT fundamentals, and experience aligning security systems with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and NIST

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in security, IT, physical systems engineering, or security technology deployment in enterprise environments.
• 5+ years of experience managing or leading teams responsible for physical security system administration or commissioning.
• Advanced knowledge of Genetec Security Center (Synergis and Omnicast), access control hardware, CCTV architecture, and alarm systems.
• Strong IT fundamentals, including networking concepts, Windows Server, and REST APIs for integrations.
• Experience supporting regulatory compliance efforts and preparing audit evidence.
• Strong organizational skills and experience managing multiple infrastructure initiatives across sites or regions.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage the Data Center Security Engineering team, including day-to-day task prioritization, roadmap, performance, and development.
• Define and maintain technical standards for access control, video surveillance, physical intrusion detection, and AI security systems.
• Align physical security designs with enterprise security baselines, cybersecurity requirements, and scalability needs.
• Ensure commissioning of physical security systems in construction and retrofit projects with checklists and testing protocols.
• Own operational health and maintenance of physical security systems including Genetec components; guide patching and troubleshooting.
• Ensure systems align with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and NIST 800-53; provide documentation for audits.
• Plan replacement of aging hardware and onboarding of new technologies; manage inventory and vendor workflows.
• Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, system integrators, and vendors to meet specifications.
• Lead networking and server resource planning for physical security platforms; partner with IT for uptime.
• Create and govern SOPs, commissioning guides, configuration baselines, and architecture docs for security systems.
• Coordinate with GSOC, Policy, Risk, IT, Executive Protection, and Facilities on system changes and investigations.
• Act as a stakeholder in policy and standards development across the physical security ecosystem.
