CoreWeave is seeking a Principal Engineer to provide technical leadership across Security Products. This senior individual-contributor role will define architecture, guide execution across teams, and solve complex distributed-systems problems in security-critical infrastructure.

You will work across high-scale authorization systems, anomaly detection, STS, API authentication gateway, and shared infrastructure, ensuring four-nines availability and low latency in a multi-region setup.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of production software experience.
• Principal or staff-plus leadership across multiple teams or a broad technical domain.
• Deep expertise in distributed-systems design including scalability, availability, latency, consistency, and fault tolerance.
• Experience operating security-sensitive or reliability-critical services in production.
• Strong backend engineering experience with systems languages such as Go, Java, Rust, C++, Python.

Responsabilités

• Establish architectural approaches for distributed systems - multi-region operation, service placement, failover, replication, traffic management, disaster recovery, and regional independence.
• Define fault-tolerance strategies for dependencies, networks, regions, storage systems, and control-plane components.
• Design high-scale authorization systems supporting policy authoring, evaluation, access-control enforcement, and auditability.
• Provide technical direction for a Security Token Service and an API Authentication Gateway.
• Mentor senior engineers and raise the quality of engineering practice across the organization.
