Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead Data Analytics and Visualization Engineer to drive data architecture, analytics strategy, and executive insights across industries. You will mentor a team, define data warehouse layers, and translate complex data into actionable business insights.

You will design robust dashboards using Power BI/Tableau/Metabase, lead ETL pipelines with Airflow, and collaborate with C‑level stakeholders to align analytics with business goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building high-performance BI dashboards and data models (Power BI preferred).
• 1+ year leading or mentoring data teams in Agile environments.
• Expert-level SQL with relational DBs (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL).
• Experience with large-scale data platforms (Redshift, Snowflake, ClickHouse).
• Python for analytics, scripting, or automation (Pandas, NumPy).
• Cloud familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, or Snowflake architectures.
• Strong ability to translate complex data into business insights for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of data analysts and BI engineers.
• Partner with product owners and senior stakeholders to define requirements.
• Set standards for visualization design, performance, and QA across the team.
• Design and build advanced dashboards and reports (Power BI/Tableau/Metabase).
• Architect scalable data models and central Data Warehouse / data marts.
• Develop and optimize ETL pipelines using modern orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
• Oversee security setups and governance of reporting environments.
• Apply Python-based analytics for CLV, RFM, and other models.
