Job summary

Greenbrook Medical in New York City is seeking a Director of Data Engineering and Analytics to build the foundational data layer, establish data intelligence, and grow the analytics team.

You will own end-to-end data platform, production systems, and roadmap, collaborating with clinical and care teams to improve observability and outcomes for seniors.

This role blends hands-on coding with leadership, from day one, and reports to the VP of Growth and Population Health.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL, dbt, and Python with production coding experience.
• Experience with healthcare data (claims, eligibility, EHR) and interoperability standards (FHIR/HL7).
• Familiarity with value-based care measures (HEDIS/Stars, HCC/RAF, utilization).
• Ability to translate data insights to clinical/business leaders in plain language.

Responsibilities

• Own the analytics layer: dbt models, metrics, and business logic.
• Own production systems: monitor, Harden, and maintain uptime.
• Build the data roadmap and team: hire and develop data engineers and analysts.
• Translate roadmap into tactical goals and cross-functional alignment.
