Job summary

Schuber Mitchell Homes seeks a Data Analytics Manager to lead the analytics team in creating report specifications and deploying dashboards that support sound business decisions. This role collaborates with business users to define requirements, establish data visualization best practices, and ensure data quality across projects.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of SQL/ETL experience, expertise in Power BI or Tableau, and proven leadership to drive projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, computer science, or STEM preferred but not required.
• 5+ years of experience with SQL database development, SQL queries, data structures, stored procedures, SSIS, ETL, API architecture, relational data models.
• Experience leading a team of data analysts or similar positions is desired.
• Experience with dashboard and reporting platforms (Power BI, Tableau) with large datasets.
• Ability to translate complex technical designs into simplified business language.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams to produce quality results under time pressure.
• Strong communication and persuasion skills, including presenting concepts to stakeholders.
• Comfort working independently and in team projects within a collaborative environment.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Establishes strong relationships with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and delivers solutions that meet company needs.
• Leads the data analytics team in converting ideas and business needs into meaningful reports and dashboard designs.
• Develops and maintains a knowledge base to promote best practices for using data visualization tools and ensure that end-users are trained accordingly.
• Establishes and implements a standard process for defining data requirements, managing governance, creating BI reports and dashboards, and enforcing data quality best practices.
• Leads the data analytics team in project execution.
• Undertakes any other projects or duties, as assigned.
