The role manages a high-performing team of data engineers and AI specialists, bridging scientific goals with technical execution in a regulated pharma setting.

Qualifications

• Expertise in real-world data assets and using them to generate scientific evidence and guide operational effectiveness.
• Deep expertise across data engineering, Gen AI, AI/ML techniques, and delivering AI/ML use cases.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and project management in a regulated environment.
• 12+ years of progressive leadership in data/AI with senior tech leadership experience.
• Pharma/R&D domain experience and familiarity with GxP and regulatory considerations.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive strategic vision and roadmap for data engineering, AI, and Gen AI in R&D.
• Lead design, development, and deployment of scalable data and AI engineering foundations for R&D.
• Oversee AI/Gen AI use cases from ideation to production and lifecycle management.
• Build and mentor a high-performing data/AI team and manage budgets and timelines.
• Ensure governance, privacy, and responsible AI across initiatives.
