Job summary

Lionsgate in Santa Monica seeks a Director of Creative AI & Production Technology to lead practical AI use across content, VFX, production, and post.

This hands-on role partners with filmmakers, artists, and production teams to identify use cases, run pilots, and establish scalable workflows, tools, and standards for adoption. The position also manages the AI Strategy & Creative Technology team and shapes Lionsgate's AI roadmap.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in film/TV/VFX or related media production.
• Experience building technology-enabled workflows for creatives.
• Fluency with generative AI and multimodal tools.
• Knowledge of production/post pipelines and asset lifecycles.
• Proven track record moving tech from experiments to adopted workflows.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication.

Responsibilities

• Set the creative AI and production-technology roadmap across development, VFX, virtual production, editing, and post-production.
• Identify, prioritize, and lead AI pilots addressing creative and production needs.
• Design artist-facing tools and multimodal workflows using AI models.
• Collaborate with artists, filmmakers, VFX, editors, and production teams to validate solutions.
• Establish scalable pipeline patterns for AI-assisted creative work and governance.
• Guide transition from pilot to production-ready workflows with cross-functional partners.
• Lead and develop the Associate Manager, AI Strategy & Creative Technology.
• Maintain an active view of the AI ecosystem and cultivate strategic relationships.
• Represent the AI office in senior creative and production forums.
